Link (Identity Match)
Identity Match expressions are used to define how a UKG Pro employee will be linked to an Active Directory user?
A link is based on expressions (single or multiple) that must be met for the match to occur.
If there is a link, then the employee is considered to have an existing user account in Active Directory and will be updated.
If there is NO link, then the employee is considered to be a new employee that does not exist in Active Directory. If Use Auto Provision is switched on, then the user will be created in Active Directory.
If multiple users match your expressions, no users will be updated in Active Directory.
It is critical that the Link is setup correctly.
An employee that DOES NOT HAVE a linked user record (as defined by your Link rule) will be considered as a new employee and will be automatically created in Active Directory.
